Description

FEDERAL TALL-CASE CLOCK
Bears paper label of Ebenezer Kingsbury of Shrewsbury, dated 1799. Also noted No. 5" on label. Case appears to be cherry. Bonnet with three brass finials and three plinths with open fretwork between is fronted by full brass-capped columns. Lower case with carved fluted quarter columns with brass caps. Oval inlay of alternating woods to center of door panel. Scalloped moldings around base. Nice ogee bracket feet. Overall height 91"."

Condition

Case refinished some time ago. Base mostly original with some reconstruction. Piece of back right foot missing. Pendulum rod broken hence unable to make clock run.
