Description

PAIR OF ANTIQUE AMERICAN TRANSITIONAL SHERATON SIDE CHAIRS Baltimore, Early 19th Century
In mahogany with yellow pine frame and poplar seat support. Flat back with two carved rosettes to crest and vertical pierced splat in a multiple-arch plume design. Serpentine-front seat. Front legs with acanthus carving at top and nicely tapered reeding below.

Condition

One leg broken and reglued. Corner blocks replaced on both. Small split to top of one crest.
