Description

INLAID BRONZE FIGURE OF AN EAGLE Meiji Period
Perched on a rootwood base with spread wings. Gilt and shakudo eyes. Shakudo beak. Height overall 31 (78 cm). Wingspan 28" (71 cm)."

Condition

The bird's talons were affixed at one point to the rootwood base, but they are now loose, but still perched onto wood. The wooden base has a few losses and breaks. The bronze bird is in good condition with no losses noted.
