Portrait of the ship Fannie Kimmey. Signed lower left Stubbs".
Provenance: By descent in family of Captain James Steele Fisher, who was both a part-owner of the ship as well as her captain when she was shipwrecked after being lost in a heavy fog. She washed up ashore with a load of coal in her hull.

Letters from Captain Fisher pertaining to his business interests as well as personal letters written to his wife and daughters. His great- grand-daughters autograph book from the 1930s is also included.

Relined. Heavily restored with areas of over cleaning. This frame is not original and its dimensions are 31.25 x 43.25 in.
