FRAMED MASONIC APRON Circa 1795-1805
In white leather. Printed blue monochrome decoration of a trumpeting angel, goddess-topped columns, and a woman holding one child with two others by her side. Gr...d Lo...ge of Connec...t." near angel's trumpet. Marked lower right "Engraved by Brother Amos Doolittle ..." (New Haven, Connecticut). Additional decoration of a sun, eye, moon, compass and square, etc. in gold, red and blue appears painted. Apron approx. 14.5" x 13.75". Nicely framed and matted, 24" x 24" overall."

Condition

Not examined out of frame. Dirt and staining but generally well preserved.
