Connecticut, 1850-1925

The fishing schooner Elizabeth Silsbee. Signed and dated lower right T. Willis 1907". The Elizabeth Silsbee was a fishing schooner from the North Shore of Massachusetts. She wrecked off Nova Scotia in 1909.

Oil on canvas with applied silk sails, 18" x 26". Framed."

Condition

Very light fraying to the extreme edges of two sails. Paint in good condition, no obvious mars or damages noted.
