EXTREMELY RARE EARLY DECORATIVE CARVING OF A GREATER YELLOWLEGS Circa 1905
By A. Elmer Crowell of East Harwich, Massachusetts. In drop-wing" style. Glass eyes. Carved wing tips. Mounted on a rectangular wooden base painted to simulate the marsh. Pre-brand. Signed in ink on bottom "A.E. Crowell Maker E. Harwich Cape Cod"."

Condition

Minor professional restoration to legs. A full detailed condition report available upon request. Extreme light cleaning to the base, repair to legs - gesso to legs at the under-body joint. One primary wing repaired. The last five photographs posted on this lot show the bird BEFORE it was professionally restored.
