First Half of the 19th Century

Bust portrait of a young gentleman with brown hair, brown eyes and a beard. Dressed in a black coat and ruffled shirt.
Note verso identifies the sitter as Alcock Beardsley of Plymouth, Connecticut. The portrait was done in 1841 when Beardsley was age 23. Note also indicates the painting was purchased in 1946.
