Possibly the shop of Thomas and John Seymour. In octagonal form in mahogany and other select wood veneers. Top with central burlwood panel surrounded by cherry banding. Case with two drawers, the upper of which with a compartmented interior. Turned wooden drawer pulls. Drawer fronts and side panels with flame satin veneer panels bordered by light and ebonized wood string inlay. Delicate tapered turned legs with vertical light and dark wood string inlay. Legs fitted with brass casters. Height 30. Width 22". Depth 16"."

Old refinish. 3 piece of banded inlay at top is missing. Otherwise in overall fine condition, though the base of the bottom drawer is most likely a replacement as this once probably had a basket.

Provenance: Private Cape Cod Collection."
