Description

IMPORTANT ANTIQUE AMERICAN HEPPLEWHITE CARD TABLE Circa 1790
From the shop of John Goddard (Newport, Rhode Island, 1723/4-1785). In mahogany with select flame mahogany veneered skirt. In serpentine form. Top with carved molded edge. Thin elongated oval molding along edge of skirt. Tapered molded legs with Chinese Chippendale corner braces. Height 28.75. Width 34". Depth 15.5".
Note: Top edge and skirt moldings are nearly identical to other Goddard examples."

Condition

Refinshed some time ago. Structurally good.
