ANTIQUE AMERICAN CHIPPENDALE OXBOW CHEST Connecticut, Circa 1780
In cherry. Nicely molded overhanging top over four graduated drawers flanked by fluted quarter columns. Bold ogee bracket feet. Retains period hardware. Height 35. Width 38". Depth 20.75".

Condition

Refinished. Some minor water rings to top.

Condition Elaborated: Sturdy/sound structure. Some areas of wear, to the surface of the wood. Heavily ground area is a natural occurrence in the wood. Several of the foot moldings had broken and have been re-glued. Significant overall restoration, but appearance is very nice. No other damages/repairs detected.
