RARE CHINESE JADE AND CARVED WOOD DOUBLE RUYI SCEPTER 19th Century
In cross form with white jade mounts. Central mount carved with bats, shou, flowers, and double ruyi. Both top segments carved with Double Happiness shou and peonies with different bat formations. Both lower plaques carved with shou, dragons, and peonies; one with musical stone and double ruyi and one with bats and calligraphy. Underside carved with key fret design. Arms carved with calligraphy and bat designs. Length 21.25 (54 cm). A similar example may be found in Taipei National Palace Museum."

Condition

Undamaged. Plaques possibly reset.
