Description

POLYCHROME SCRIMSHAW WHALE'S TOOTH First Half of the 19th Century
Obverse depicts Britannia holding a trident and a red and blue shield while standing on the dome of a building, possibly the Pantheon Building in London. Britannia is flanked by two bust portraits of young women. Reverse depicts an American warship with two gun decks. Length 6.5.
