Description

THREE PIECES OF MASONIC REGALIA 19th Century
Two aprons and one sash. One circa 1820 apron in white satin with pink edging and monochromatic printed decoration of an eye in sun on flap and an elaborate design of two columns supporting an arch surrounded by numerous emblems on body. Printed under flap Published by Lewis Roberson, Weathersfield Vt." Handwritten under flap "Dr. Phillip Hull". Other apron in white silk with blue edging, silver trim and monochromatic printed design on body of two globe-topped columns in a landscape surrounded by various emblems. Sash in blue silk with silver trim and appliqués. Housed in two simple plastic frames, largest 22.5" x 28.5"."

Condition

First apron with at least three pinholes where apron is mounted in frame. Scattered small holes and tears. Significant crease along vertical center line; smaller wrinkles and creases throughout. Larger holes on backing. Second apron with area of stains on flap and right side of body. Significant crease along vertical center line. Neither sash nor second apron examined out of frame.
