ENGRAVED SWORDFISH BILL Maine, Circa 1899
Compass rose surrounded by Robert W. Black June 19. Portland, Oren Leeman, Mast." at base. Banner with "1st Fish G. Johnson Striker" at tip.
Central decoration of a swordfish marked "400 lbs.", a harpoon and barrel, and a sailing vessel. Length 31". Housed in a shadow box frame, 6" x 36".
Provenance: Estate of Thomas K. Aalund, Mystic, Connecticut."

Condition

Not examined out of frame. Losses to tip of bill. Age cracks.
