Description

SILVER TEA CANISTER Meiji Period
Cover finial in the form of a mythical animal figure. Body with cloisonné enamel handles. Cover and all four sides of body with filigree silver and enamel decoration in bird, flower, and foliate designs. Height 5.75."

Condition

Finial with damage to one leg. Cover with some loss of enameling. Body with minor loss of enameling. Some irregularity to patina of silver.
