GEORGE III STERLING SILVER DESK STANDISH London, 1796
Lacking maker's mark. In oval form with molded rim and four feet. Two clear crystal inkwells cut in a diaper pattern flank a central removable chamber stick enclosing a circular compartment. Length 11.
Approx. 20.4 troy oz. weighable."

Condition

Standish with metal fatigue and solder marks along edge next to one inkwell. Solder marks around feet. Loss to rod element on underside. Age-typical surface wear. No monograms or monogram-removal. Crystal inkwells with scattered very small checks.
