Description

PAIR OF PATRIOTIC-THEMED TRAILBOARDS Circa 1870
Attributed to Horace B. Usher of Marblehead, Massachusetts. In pine with carved and polychrome decoration. Old paint, possibly original, showing nice patina. One with an American eagle clutching a shield, a quiver of arrows and an olive branch. The other with a central shield surrounded by American flags, a cannon, a war axe, a spear and ribbands. 12.5 x 89.5" and 11.5" x 98.5".
