RAILSPLITTERS CAMPAIGN SIGN IN THE FORM OF AN AX Circa 1860
Wooden ax head with black and red wash finish. Stenciled on both sides 1st Ward. Republican Club. N.P.R.I." (possibly Newport, Rhode Island). Long wooden handle. Ax head 18.25" x 26.25". Overall height 66"."

Condition

Ax head missing one nail for handle attachment; slightly loose. Wear to finish. Slight roughness at lower edge of ax blade.
