ENGRAVED WHALE'S TOOTH Second Half of the 19th Century
Obverse depicts Dame chinoise", a Chinese woman in traditional dress. Reverse depicts "Cathedrale De Dunkeld", a scene of a cathedral on a riverbank with figures on the shore and mountains in the distance. Signed on obverse lower right "Jourde". Exceptional details on both sides. Length 6.75".
Dunkeld Cathedral is on the banks of the River Tay in Scotland.
