PENNSYLVANIA CAMPAIGN AND POLITICAL MATERIAL 1799-1891
Approx. 20 pamphlets, some signed letters, broadsides, numerous elector lists, etc. Some items in German. Notable items include pamphlet An Address to the Freemen of Pennsylvania, from the Committee of Correspondence for the City of Philadelphia ..." (Germantown, Penn.: Zachariah Poulson, 1799) and a German translation of the same pamphlet, an 1832 pay receipt for service in the Electoral College, and a ribbon with "American Republican Association of West Philadelphia. Semper Paratus In Defence of our Rights. Juy 4th, 1844." in white on black with images of a snake and a group of men holding a flag."
