ELLERY THOMPSON
Connecticut, 1899-1987

The Lost Dory". Signed lower right "Ellery Thompson". Titled on frame plaque. Born in Mystic, CT, Thompson was a local fisherman, author, and painter. He wrote Draggerman's Haul: The Personal Story of a Connecticut Fishing Captain and Come Aboard the Draggers. In 2005 the Stonington Historical Society ran a major exhibit on the artist.
Oil on board, 20" x 30". Framed 24" x 34"."
