RARE SONG SHEET OLD ENGLAND FORTY YEARS AGO" Circa 1815
"Sold wholesale and retail by Hunt & Shaw, North East Corner, Faneuil Hall Market". Pertains to the War of 1812, but lyrics cover American history dating from the Revolutionary War, mentioning Washington and Madison, notable ships, captains and battles from the War of 1812, and Andrew Jackson and the defeat at New Orleans. Three columns of lyrics separated by thin rules and surrounded by a cornucopia and fleur-de-lis border. Image of a three-masted ship at top of first column of text. 9.5" x 8"."

Condition

Toned, foxed and soiled. .75 chip missing from left edge. Creased. Some very small unobtrusive losses along fold lines."
