Description

THREE EARLY NEW HAMPSHIRE BROADSIDES 1821-1834
1) Message From His Excellency, The Governor of New-Hampshire, To both Houses of Legislature." Signed in print "Samuel Bell" and dated Concord, June 7, 1821. A State of the Union-style address commenting on both state and national issues. Rope-twist border. 17.75" x 10". 2) "United Presbyterian & Congregational Religious Society of Bedford. State of New Hampshire." Dated January 1, 1825. Provides rules and bylaws of the Society following an 1819 act by the Legislature allowing corporate powers to such groups. 11.25" x 9". 3) Song lyrics "Written For The Whig Festival at Concord, N.H. September 30, 1834. By P. Carrigain." Refrain is "Huzza for old New Hampshire". Mention's "Webster's Star". 13.75" x 11"."

Condition

1) Unevenly trimmed. Creased, with some tears/losses along fold lines. Toned. Scattered light foxing. Some off-setting of type. 2) Chipped along edges, particularly right margin. Scattered foxing. Toned. 3) Creased, soiled and toned. Tear at upper center margin. Some loss lower right corner.
