COLLECTION OF 18TH AND 19TH CENTURY NEW HAMPSHIRE POLITICAL EPHEMERA 1789-1889
Approx. 22 items including letters, election tallies, small format broadsides/circulars, etc. Notable items include a 1789 handwritten letter calling for a Congressional election in Hampstead, two 1792 printed letters calling for elections in Surry, song sheet A Fremont Song Composed by W.S. Eaton, East Weare, N.H.", an 1856 handwritten letter supporting Fremont signed by Joel Eastman, and an invitation to a ball to celebrate the inauguration of Benjamin Harrison in 1889. Includes Whig, Republican and Democratic party communications and publications, mostly from the 1830s, 1840s and 1850s."

Condition

Generally well preserved. Wear consistent with age and use, including toning, foxing, staining, creases, chipping, minor losses, etc. 1789 letter torn at left margin, obscuring some text.
