POLYCHROME SCRIMSHAW WHALEBONE BUSK Mid-19th Century
Depicts four finely engraved vignettes separated by floral and foliate garlands. Vignettes include a vase of flowers on a checkered surface, two lovebirds perched on intersecting hearts set on a garlanded monument, a blue floral sprig, and a basket of flowers. Busk with lobed top. Length 13.

Ink on blue floral sprig is worn so that flower blossoms are barely visible.
