Description

SHERATON TWO-PART SECRETARY Circa 1810
In mahogany. Slanted cornice with an oval shell inlay within a central rectangular panel. Upper case with glazed Gothic-arched doors enclosing three interior shelves and tambour doors enclosing drawers, pigeonholes and central compartment with door. Lower case with a fold-out writing surface over a full-width drawer over a smaller drawer flanked by bottle drawers. Tapered reeded legs. Retains period hardware. Finials missing. Height 80.5. Width 40.5". Depth 21.5"."

Condition

Refinished. Drawer bottoms show some replacements. Age split to upper case's backboard.
