MEMORIAL BROADSIDE Circa 1800
An Elegy of the Death of Captain Annanias Valentine, Thomas Pinckney, Isaac Elliot, Jacamiah Cropsey, and Leonard Merrit, all respectable citizens of the town of Marlborough, who were unfortunately drowned on the Flatts [sic], in front of the town in attempting to go on shore, on Friday morning, the 12th of December, 1800, in a violent storm of wind and rain". Probably from Marlborough, New York. Depicts five coffins. Sheet 17" x 10.5"."
