POLYCHROME SCRIMSHAW WHALE'S TOOTH Mid-19th Century
Depicts Lady Liberty seated on a plinth holding an American shield in her right hand and a staff topped with a Phrygian cap in her left hand. A red, white and blue American flag is draped from her shoulder, across her bodice and down her skirt. Some elements executed in pinpoint. Length 4."

Condition

Base cut is uneven, with some unobtrusive roughness on reverse. Faint age lines near tip and base.
