SCRIMSHAW WHALE'S TOOTH Mid-19th Century
Obverse with a bust portrait of a portly gentleman. Reverse with profusely engraved interior scene of two male figures, one female figure and a dog. The men appear to be engaged in a confrontation, one poised as if he is about to strike the other. Length 6.25.

Age line runs almost the length of the tooth through the reverse. Other age lines and roughness at base on both sides.
