POLYCHROME SCRIMSHAW WHALE'S TOOTH WITH PORTRAITS OF A MAN AND WOMAN Circa 1830
Obverse with monochrome profile bust portrait of a man with sideburns in formal stock and coat. Reverse with half-length portrait of a woman with dark curled hair wearing a red double-strand beaded necklace and a red patterned dress. Charmingly rendered and believed to be actual portraits, not copies of illustrations. Length 6.25."

Condition

Remnants of residue, which is removable, scattered throughout.
