REED & BARTON STERLING SILVER DESK STANDISH
Rectangular, with pierced gallery on three sides. Two silver-mounted crystal inkwells. On four pad feet. The pen tray engraved William M. Davis with Affectionate Regards of his Colleagues in the Geological Department June 1912". Length 9.5".
Approx. 13.4 troy oz. weighable.
Note: William Morris Davis was the "father of American geography" and taught at Harvard from 1879-1911."

Condition

Gallery lacking two nuts to bolts, so that it is loose. Central well lacking interior element and dented. Two left feet dented. Inkwells nicked.
