BRASS-BOUND CAMPHORWOOD TRAVEL DESK 19th Century
With brass inlay and inset carrying handles at sides. Top lifts to reveal lidded compartments, a pen tray, an inkwell compartment, document holders covered with blue silk, and a fold-out writing surface covered with blue velvet. Brass lock plate stamped with crowns, Gramahs Patent" and "Thomson Calcutta". Height 9". Width 21.75". Depth 12.5"."

Condition

Minor age crack in lid. Slight loss of brass binding at lower edge. Water staining to blue silk. One interior drawer missing. Chinese marks on drawers and bottom of case. Light illegible pencil notation marking inside.
