CANE HANDLE IN THE FORM OF A FIST CLENCHING A SNAKE Mid-19th Century
Whale ivory or walrus ivory. A spotted snake is coiled around a clenched fist and wrist. Nicely detailed, including the shirt cuff and the snake's forked tongue and fangs visible in its open mouth. Affixed to a metal stand. Total height 4.5.
