DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE CORDELIA 1806-09
Captained by Nathaniel Dorr, the Cordelia sailed out of Boston. She was involved in the China trade, primarily tea sold in the U.S. and Amsterdam. Her owners and investors included John R. Hurd, Bordman & Pope, John Amory and John Dorr. Lot includes approx. 32 documents pertaining to accounting and inventories, and approx. 31 pieces of correspondence (some are drafts and copies). Two sheets are in Dutch and another sheet is stamped with Chinese characters. All contained within an oak lap desk.
