NAPOLEONIC PRISONER-OF-WAR MINIATURE MODELS OF A 50-GUN MAN-OF-WAR AND A 12-GUN TWO-MASTED SLOOP French/English, Early 19th Century
Displayed together on a straw work galleried base. Near-scale models, probably carved from boxwood and other exotic woods. Finely detailed with cannons, rigging, deck fittings, etc. Man-of-war with a sword-bearing figurehead. Contemporary glass-domed case with stepped mahogany base. Case height 8.75. Length 12". Width 8"."

Condition

One mast broken off at tip. Probably restored, as typical.
