FOUR-VOLUME SET ON JAPANESE ART 1886
The Pictorial Arts of Japan With a Brief Historical Sketch of the Associated Arts, and some Remarks upon the Pictorial Art of the Chinese and Koreans by William Anderson (London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle & Rivington, 1886). All text and plates are loose, housed in four portfolios, 16.75 x 11.75". Complete with 80 plates and their descriptive tissue guards; 16 of the plates are chromolithographs. Titles stamped in red and gilt lettering. All four with bookplate of Frederick E. Kotzian on the inside cover."

Condition

Volume 1 and Volume 2 have minor foxing and yellowing. Curling and flaking to edges with minor tears to text pages.
Volume 3 and Volume 4 have folds, curling and tears to the descriptive tissue pages. Plates are in good condition with no foxing to images.
All four portfolios have wear and tears on inside seams. Covers have wear to edges.
