Description

WALTER BEACH HUMPHREY American, 1892-1966 "A New Spring". Initialed lower left "WBH". Attached to the reverse is a handwritten note by the artist explaining the scene from the early spring of 1778, with the troops under Washington's eye practicing newly learned drills taught by the Russian Baron Steuben. Oil on paper, 8" x 11" sight. Framed.
