Description

(ART - CALDER) Miro, J., Calder's Circus. Published by Art in America with Perls Galleries, NY, 1964. Sixteen black and white lithographs signed and dated in the plate Calder 1931 (and 1932) within a 13 x 17 cover sheet with introduction/letter written for this edition by Miro, photo of Calder in clown disguise, and an essay on Calder's Circus by Cleve Gray. The first publication of these drawings by Calder's New York dealer, Klaus Perls and Art in America. Contained in a blue and red portfolio with tiger on cover, 13 x 17.
