One end carved in the form of a polar bear's head, the other end in the form of a walrus's head (one tusk broken off). Probably 19th century. Length 23. Probably carved by Mosesie Kolola (Lake Harbour, Canada, b. 1930). Kolola was a prolific carver, famous for walrus tusk scrimshaw, igloo scenes, mother-child scenes and marine animals.
