Description

FRAMED PAINTING Mid-19th Century
Hudson River scene with sailboats and buildings, probably Bear Mountain. Possibly the work of James Hope. Oil on canvas, 16 x 38.
Purchased on April 11, 1962 from Thurston Thacher Antiques, Hyde Park, NY.

Condition

Not relined. A small amount of inpaint, primarily to the sky, just above the mountain top left in the pink area. Small amount of crazing. Slightly dirty.
