ANTIQUE AMERICAN TWO-DRAWER SEWING STAND Salem, Massachusetts, Circa 1800
In mahogany with bag drawer. Cookie corners. Reeded columns flank line-inlaid drawers. Tapered reeded legs with turned upper and lower portions. Brass casters. Brass knobs. Bag in blue and gold striped cotton brocade on a white ground with classical motifs. Height 30. Width 17. Depth 17.
Purchased in June, 1973 from David Stockwell, Inc., Antiquarians, Barley Mill House, Wilmington, Delaware.

Condition

Repaired break to right cookie corner. Two other small crack s to top surface, with minor surface staining. Small crack to backside. Slight staining or discoloration to bag.
