Description

FRAMED PAINTING: JOHN LUZZO (Italian, 20th Century). Two ship portraits. Both signed lower right. One titled S.S. Ocean Victory New York U.S.A. Genova 15 Luglio 1952". The other titled "S.S. Polarus Sailor New York U.S.A. Genova 23 Aprile 1950".
Provenance: Descended in the family of Captain Lorenzo Dow Baker of Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Capt. Baker was the first American to import bananas and other fruit from the Caribbean, forming the foundation on which United Fruit was built. Both watercolor and gouache, 11" x 18" sight."

Not examined out of frame. Light overall toning.
