.303 Savage cal. Serial #81259. Highly figured wood. Receiver engraved Charles Everett Beane" with a floral and scroll design. Retains strong case colors. Old repair to stock. Front sight missing slide. Minor rust and wear. Length of barrel 20". Charles Everett Beane, a Maine sportsman, was noted for his hunting and fishing prowess in Newfoundland. He contributed many articles to New England Magazine and other publications.
