IMPORTANT ANTIQUE AMERICAN BOWBACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR 18th Century
With unusual arm ends in the form of belaying pin handles. Belonged to Capt. George Smith Anthony, a Quaker in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Anthony is known for captaining the whaling vessel Catalpa during the 1876 Catalpa Rescue.

Condition

Two old splits in seat. Refinished.
