American, 1910-1982

Barnstable Great Marsh Saltworks 1880", depicting the saltworks with four mermaids, hot air balloon and clipper ship in background. Signed lower right "R.Cahoon". Accompanied by the original letter from his son Franz Cahoon, dated July 31, 1992, stating that this is the last completed work executed by the artist.
Oil on masonite, 18" x 22". Framed."

Undamaged. Letter on Cahoon letterhead.
