ANTIQUE AMERICAN QUEEN ANNE HIGHBOY 18th Century Probably Connecticut origin. In cherry with broken-scroll top. Three plinths support wooden finials (not original). Upper section with three small drawers over four graduated full-width drawers. Lower section with one full-width over three small drawers. Upper and lower central small drawers with fan carving. Molded drawer fronts. Turned drops. Cabriole legs and padded Dutch feet. Replaced brasses. Right rear leg broken and repaired. Some drawer runners and drawer edges restored. Upper and lower sections were probably once separated and used separately. Height 84". Width 38". Depth 18". Provenance: The Williams family of South Deerfield, Massachusetts. Purchased from the Williams family in 1920 by a relative of the current consignor.
