Description

(JOURNAL - APPRENTICE) Logbook containing the Proceedings on Board the Barque Allenby , ...from the port of Sharpness, Glos'ter to Melbourne, Australia commencing May 30th, 1889 (ending April 23,1890)... Kept by her apprentices. After leaving Melbourne she went to Newcastle and on to San Francisco. The log keeper, Harry Hague, falls from the mast three days out of Newcastle, N.S.W and breaks both legs. The Captain returns to Newcastle and leaves him in the hospital. Pre-printed pages. Folio. Boards. Cloth spine.
