Contract: Your bid is a legally binding contract. Upon the closing of the lot, title will pass to the highest bidder, and the property is thereafter at the purchaser's sole risk and responsibility. Users must register and be approved to bid before the auction. Eldred's reserves the right to deny approval for any reason.
Payment: Payment is due within 7 days of the close of the auction. Payment must be in the form of a bank or pre-approved personal check or money order. All checks must be drawn from a US bank in US funds. All bank checks must include complete personal information (name, address, phone number) as well as the phone number of the bank the check is drawn on. Eldred's reserves the right to hold merchandise until payment clears. Major credit cards are accepted provided the total invoice amount is $5,000 USD or less and the card has a valid U.S. billing address. International credit cards are NOT accepted under any circumstances. We do not accept PayPal or Venmo.

We require prompt payment and removal of your purchases.
If you plan to pick up your purchases, please call ahead and we'll make every effort to have your items ready. Our physical address is 1483 Route 6A, East Dennis, MA. Pick-up of smaller items at our Mystic, CT and Hanover, MA locations is also available with advance notice. A handling fee may be charges for pickups in Mystic or Hanover.
Eldred's is happy to make shipping recommendations, though shipping quotes will not be provided until the invoice is paid in full.
Delivery or shipping arrangements must be made within seven (7) days of the close of the auction. All items must be removed from our facilities within fourteen (14) days of the close of the auction. Items remaining after 14 days may be subject to a $5/per item/per day storage fee. No items will be released unless storage fees are paid in full. Items remaining after thirty (30) days from the close of the auction may be sold for the buyer's account minus auction and storage fees.
Condition Reports:
Prospective buyers should satisfy themselves by personal inspection as to the condition of each lot. Although condition reports may be given upon request, such reports are statements of opinion only. Regardless of whether or not a condition report is given, all property is sold subject to Paragraph 1 of the Conditions of Sale, which provides that all property is sold "as is". All dimensions are approximate.
The absence of a condition report does not imply that the property is in good condition.
Eldred's will make every reasonable effort to respond to all emails or phone calls pertaining to an item's condition up until 24 hours before the sale. If there is no condition report, that does not necessarily mean the item is without repair, refinish, restoration etc.
It is the responsibility of the prospective purchaser to contact Eldred's if they are concerned about the condition of an item beyond what is listed online.
Frames: Due to the auction / shipping process, framed items are moved several times and are subject to loss / damage. Frames are not guaranteed to be in the same condition as photographed.
