EBONY "T" FRAME SEXTANT BY SPENCER BROWNING

Inset ivory plaque on the cross support signed "Spencer - Browning & Co. London." Ebony "T" frame with inset ivory scale calibrated from 0-100 degrees, a brass radius arm with clamp and tangent screws, pencil with ivory handle, mirrors, filters and peep hole sight. Contained within the original shaped box with hinged lid and a trade label for Samuel Thaxter & Son, State Street, Boston.
Height 11". Arc width 10". Box height 4". Width 11.75". Length 13".
Condition: Overall good condition, missing 2 of the brass feet, the inset ivory note plaque and one filter.
